The Awards

Despite the many physical and mental health benefits of regular engagement with physical activities, research has shown that participation declines during the childbearing years with as many as 3 in 4 women missing out on the associated benefits every year[1]and few returning to pre-pregnancy participation levels. The Active Pregnancy Foundation Awards 2023 will recognise and celebrate the people and enterprises that make a difference to women’s engagement with and experience of physical activities during the pre- and postnatal life stages. The event will commend those who demonstrate best practice in the field and highlight a collective intention to raise awareness and standards in safety, access, and provision.

Sally Kettle, CEO The Active Pregnancy Foundation says, ““It’s so exciting to be able to showcase the shortlisted nominees for both ‘Woman of the Year’ and ‘Product of the Year’. For me, they all deserve to win, but we really hope the public gets behind them by voting for the woman or product they think has had the biggest impact on the health and wellbeing of pregnant and postnatal women in the UK.”
